Shery Scott was born into a strict military family and jokes that she
could say ma’am and sir even before she could say mama and papa.
However, she has a mother with a natural flair for Southern
hospitality, and that became the foundation of Shery’s etiquette
training.
As a child of the military, Shery has traveled throughout the U.S. and
abroad, learning the traditions, customs and social etiquette of other
countries along the way. As an adult, she received her Bachelor of
Science degree in computer science, with a minor in technical writing.
She has been working as a technical writer in the technology industry
for over 20 years, and as a technical trainer for the past 18 years.
Shery has also served as a volunteer trainer and group leader in the
Celebrate Recovery ministry at Creekside Church in San Leandro,
California, for the past five years. She received her certification to
teach etiquette from the International School of Protocol in Hunt
Valley, Maryland.
