Katherine Wurzburg is a marketing expert and image consultant whose specialties include etiquette, event planning and leadership training. The daughter of an artist and a psychologist, she credits her upbringing with giving her the confidence, creativity and social skills needed to be an effective leader.

After working in publishing and advertising, Katherine started her own firm, Bessell Public Relations, specializing in the restaurant industry. After leading in her field, she changed direction and founded Designer Trunk Shows, providing her clients with garments and accessories from designer direct labels. She served as president of the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) San Francisco chapter for two years and is finishing her fourth year on AICI’s International Board.

In addition to professional associations, Katherine honed her leadership skills volunteering with nonprofit and educational organizations, including the Junior League, Stanford University Cantor Arts Center and the San Francisco Professional Food Society. She has won awards for leadership from the Junior League and AICI, and received the Outstanding Service Award from the International Foodservice Editorial Council.
